My
first attempt at photoetching; the artwork is exposed onto the brass.
Unfortunately this did not work out very well, and I don't have time
to experiment, so I think I'll have to get this done professionally

Painting
begins on the non-etched parts. Said parts will probably not arrive
for two weeks, making the schedule for this project to be rather tight.
I've
finished everything that I can before the etched parts arrive (the film
was sent to the etchers today). So here are some shots of the Markalite
waiting for photoetch. Pay no attention to the unpainted cross members
between the legs; they will be replaced with etched parts.

While
waiting for the etched parts, I decided to make the base.
The
base will come with kit, including the foliage material.
The
photoetched parts arrived today!
They
did a beautiful job on these.
